SUMMARY: 

This is an ongoing project to build a continuum lamp (continuum robot, with spotlight as an endeffector). It began during ME14, and now continues as an independent project. In it's final form, this project will use machine vision to illuminate fiducial markers placed on the table below. 

Role/Team: 

This is a three person project. I am primarily responsible for electrical, firmware, and software engineering. I also worked on mechanical design, CAD, CAM, and contributed to the overall mechanical design. My fabulous teammates for this project are:

STATUS:

Motion systems, inverse kinematics, mechanical fabrication, and electrical tuning are all complete. Control software, vision stack, and serial parser are all in progress. Installation and signage have not yet been started.
